(no subject)
Nov. 28th, 2006 11:05 amMost important thing first - Dad is in the hospital again. He wasn't able to get out of bed yesterday. It looks like his last doctor is an idiot and he DOES have Parkinson's after all, but they have to find the right medication for him. BTW, please support stem cell research - Parkinson's is hereditary and I would love there to be a cure when I or Fox are older. Dad is doing okay - we were scared he had had a stroke - Parkinson's he has been diagnosed with before.
We survived the trip to Chicago. That's all I will say about the subject. The Great Grandparents finally met Fox and seemed to have completely forgotten what it was like to have a little kid around, much less 2 (Fox's cousin he calls "MY Ethan" who is a year older came as well)
Naptimes were missed, meals were late, and food was not kid friendly. But we survived...Fox did surprisely well with the 18 straight hour driving each way as well.
Fox is doing very well with our neighbor as a childcare provider. He likes her and her kids, but he still asks for his favorite Daycare teacher a lot. Lots of mentions of Miss Nicole and Miss Kat, who are both with younger kids now - luckily Nicole gave me her number for if we ever need a babysitter. Yah!
And I am trying to put together a classroom toy drive for my students' siblings. Wish me luck!
