I am having a crappy day off, because I am spending it searching the entire house looking for Tomu's wallet, which he lost 3 days ago. If I find this sucker, he soo owes me!

On a pissy note, my cousin who has been trying to have a baby for nearly 10 years is 4 months pregnant and found out the baby's sex during an ultrasound this week. She called to tell me that she has already scheduled the baby's circumcision with her doctor so not to speak with her about it, and that her doctor is also planning to induce labor a week early for no apparent reason. Grrr.... Sounds like her doctor is trying to get as much money as possible and it makes me want to slap her for not being more protective of a child she has worked so long to have:

And if you have ever even ONCE thought circumcision is a good thing, please view the following. No, it is not the heart rending tape of babies screaming as they are cut, but it does show HOW it is done, which most parents never think about before letting a doctor do this to their child; the foreskin is ATTACHEd to the penis at birth, not retractable like an adults'.

I've thought a lot about the circumcision issue, and I'm really torn. On one hand, it's more hygenic to go through with it. On the other hand, I'd really prefer to let my hypothetical child decide for himself whether he wants his vital body parts altered.

Sorry about that - I kinda jumped on you with all the things I wanted to tell my cousin that she won't even listen to...You didn't write anything to warrant it, I'm just in the mood to spew a lot of info out at anyone who happens by.

It's fine if she doesn't agree with me 'cause it's her kid - I just didn't like to be told not to even talk to her about it, when as far as I know I've NEVER even mentioned the subject to her.

Lately I've read things that say it is easier for uncirumcised males to get AIDS. Do you have any thoughts on that or any informative websites to read? Not that I have to make that decision, but I was just curious as to what you had to say about it.
