mockingbirdqI haven't managed a long post this week. Maybe tomorrow. But I'm going to start doing more.
I'm starting to work on my artwork again for the first time in years. I'm rusty - My proportions and perspective need some work, but my basic drawing style is still there. I have a student who is a really talented artist right now, and when I was talking to her about my art classes in high school, she asked why I didn't do anything with my artistic ability (outside of decorating the classroom ;) For some reason, I flashed back to Pyrzm's Broken Warriors series, and the part where someone talks to Heero about "shadow artists". Considering how many amazing fanwriters and artists I keep track of, I guess I match that description.
So, resolution to start writing and drawing again will commence. I have a new sketchbook I'm already doodling in and I think I'll begin with some fanart of my favorite fanfiction writers to gift them with. I haven't managed that in YEARS...
Oh, and the best news possible? Mom is out rehab tomorrow. She's coming home! Thank god.
