sh*tty day!
Nov. 7th, 2003 10:05 pmOh man, today was bad...
First, I forgot my university advisor was coming by for my last evaluation. Luckily it all went fine, but she didn't come until last period and I really needed to leave earlier.
I actually had contractions during the day, which I really haven't had at school, so obviously I was hurting.
Worse, the teacher got called to the principal's office "just for a minute" which lasted nearly an hour. During that time two boys in our class decided to get in a fight, and the rest of the class went insane because of the commotion.
Stupid me, I'm standing between two 14 year old boys who are both larger and taller than me trying to break them up. I realize now this was not a smart thing to do. I did get pushed in the stomach by one of them which hurt like h*ll.
Luckily, one of the few good kids in class was nearby and I sent him to get the teacher next door. She managed to get them under control and send the bad boys out of class.
So when the teacher gets back in class what's left of the class and I have just begun reading an O'Henry short story. I excused myself and spent the rest of the class period hiding in the teacher workroom. When I finally got home I ended up just crying in frustration and going to sleep.
You will NEVER be able to pay me enough to teach in a mainstream classroom. I miss my nice small ESL classes!
