update....
Mar. 26th, 2005 10:39 pmHaven't had time to update in a while. Here's the last few weeks in a nutshell...
Good things:
Annette came to visit this weekend. It was soo nice to see her. Ate thai food with her. Finished three days of testing at schoo that left my kids hyper and insane for the remainder of each day. Fox said his first 2+ word sentence yesterday "Mama go bye-bye" *wahh!* and had an easter egg hunt at daycare where he proceeded to find one egg, take the candy out of it, and simply sit there holding it the remainder of the day with no interest in eating it or finding more eggs. More Fox vocabulary: pig, towel, pillow, cake, yum-yum, up, close, open, down, boom and yuck!
Not so good things:
Fox had a sinus infection that caused him to run high fever and spread to his EYES of all places. It is VERY very scary to turn to the baby lying next to you in bed and discover his eyes are sealed shut with oozing green slime (scared him more than me, pobrecito) Dr. gave us antibiotics that were not flavored for children and said medicine makes him vomit every time he takes it. After calling the doctor's office for 3 days she finally calls in a different antibiotic that tastes better and doesn't induce vomiting.
However, Fox will have none of ANY medicine now (he always regarded tylenol as candy before and would literally beg for it). Now he must be pinned down with much crying on both his and my part for both medicine and special eyedrops.
I've literally spent most of the last week mopping up baby puke and runny poop due to the infection and the meds to treat it. NOT a fun thing IMHO.
