Dad's memorial service in Nacogdoches is at Redeemer Lutheran Church on February 17th...

We can't get a home equity loan. We can't get a high enough credit card to cover the loan. We're going to try for a personal loan at the local bank but we know there is not much chance.

We are also not getting a tax refund - we own $1700!@$ We were only allowed to deduct $600 for the entire year of Fox's daycare. WTF?! And we still have to pay $600 in property tax. Our insurance is going to double and our dryer just broke...I'm looking for a second job tutoring. We're ebaying. Don't know what else we can do at this point.

I don't know how we are going to do this. If one more thing happens, we could lose everything. How did this happen?

I quit. I don't want to be a grown-up anymore.

Oh, yeah. I remember that the one year since I became a fully-employed adult that I actually had to pay taxes instead of getting a refund fell right after I'd lost my job and wound up unemployed for seven months. It always piles up like that, doesn't it?

I suppose the thing to do at this point is to go for that second job, and be thankful that the taxes and dryer replacement are one-shot (or at least merely annual) expenses rather than ongoing payments like the insurance premiums.
