mockingbirdqWe took Fox to see Shrek 3 this morning, and halfway through I had to bribe him with a whole box of skittles (or "taste the rainbows") as we calls them. I have also discovered he can name almost any child aimed ad and RECOGNIZE their signs and symbols. I swear he doesn't watch that much TV!
For those with small ones, just so you know, it sucked! Really, the first half was much too serious and scary for small children. Lots of crying and Fox hid his head in my chest too. It didn't get good until the last half, and Fox only really liked the last 5 minutes with the Shrek babies. He loved the end credits better than the film!
Grad party tomorrow. I've spent too much money, I'm not ready for end of year LPAC, and I'm still making one of my exams. I hate the last week of school. I did go to our alternative school's grad awards ceremony and I am so glad I did. The 3 students were so glad to see me, and I'm going to be sure to go every year from now on.
Then I have 4 days off until summer session starts.
I've just finished reading a very interesting book called "Mother Nature" on the sociobiology of motherhood and I WISH I had read it while pregnant and shortly after Fox's birth. Very interesting study of things like how common infantcide was until the last century, why breastfeeding mothers become snappy at their mates ;) and how it takes a few days to biologically fall in love with your baby. Like I said, I wish I had read it while pregnant ;)
And... Bigringer's birthday is tomorrow? and JessieGoddess' is next week? Happy Birthday if I don't manage to call!
