Today was the last day of summer school!

That should make it a good day but it was NOT. After school I ran by Staples to find out their penny school supply sale ended yesterday. grrrr... so much for cheap classroom supplies.

Then I rushed home to fill out paperwork for the new doctor Todd had an appointment with at 2:30 (or I thought since Tomu made the appointment 3 weeks ago and this is what he told me). I then pick up a very grumpy Fox who was taking a nap and rush him to this doctor's office to find out that

a) I'd forgotten my wallet and I don't know where in the house I left it - I had it while filling out paperwork
b) His appointment was actually for 2:00 p.m. so we missed it and are charged as "no show". The next appointment with the other doctor is not until next Friday.

Now to find the *&%$%# wallet and then go spend the night with Mom. I need to get away so I don't rake Tomu over the coals....BTW Tomu just called to say he has to work tonight and tomorrow.

Why can't we go away for a little fun EVERY weekend, so that we don't make each other crazy? Why haven't they opened any Japanese style love hotels in Texas?

That said, why don't we switch to socialized medicine? The wait time couldn't be that much different?? What ever happened to seeing doctors the day you call or the next day?

Don't know if this'll be any help to you, but the Krogers I work at started a school supply sale today that should last for about a week (maybe longer, but I'm never sure how long the sales will last beyond a week). Lots of paper, notebooks, and packs of pencils and pens for a dollar each. Folders (the thin kind that're just hard paper with pockets and metal paper-holder things) were four for a dollar. There were other things, but by the end of my shift I was pretty fried so I can't remember prices on erasers and rulers and things. But I saw the sale and I remembered this post and I thought I'd pass it along. ^_^
