Mar. 5th, 2008 12:01 amYesterday was not a fun day...Fox was still sick so I took off work. Only 1 personal day left for the next 4 months now.
On the way to taking Fox to the doctor, someone driving next to me honks and tells me my front tire is flat. Joy :P
So I take Fox to doctor, then creep to a nearby gas station on a now completely flat tire, and find a sign on the air machine that reads "Air no working." I then call Tomu to buy me a air pump, then make it to a nearby Discount Tire.
Tomu follows me there then leaves for work. By now it is 1:30 and we had left for the doctor at 10 a.m. Fox is starving and all the fast food places nearby are across a busy highway. Me running with a sick 40 lb. child on my back through city traffic. NOT gonna happen...
So I bundle him up and hike to a nearby CVS that is on the same side of the road. I then let Fox buy numerous toys and any kind of junk food he cares to eat, as well as some juice. We hike back to the Tire place and spend the next 2 hours waiting some more while Fox plays quietly. Mom calls to say the site has PULLED out of her arm, but don't worry. Sure @_@
Tire is finally fixed, we drive through McDonalds, they screw up the order, and we go home to eat and crash on the couch. DH is smart enough to pick up pizza on the way home 'cause cooking was not an option.
Today, work was chaos and Tomu and I managed to do our civic duty and vote for Obama.
Sorry, I want a woman prez, but I don't want it to be Hil - for 2 reasons. 1. We've had Bill and Hil. Hil and Bill seems redundant now. 2. She never kicked him out on his butt after publicly being humilating by Bill not keeping his pencil in his pocket. Not my idea of a woman I can respect.
TAKS tomorrow, and I HATE proctoring. Always nice to think your license might be revoked due to any small mistake. And it's so fun to stare at a room full of testing kids for 5 hours straight without being allowed to read anything or do any kind of work. It's my definition of HELL.
