Jun. 4th, 2008 10:15 amSo, summer has kinda begun. I say kinda because I'm still going into work this week. This weekend we went to MIL's house and spent most of the time swimming. Fox surprised us by loving the water and insisting he could swim, although he wore floaties the whole time. No fear of water now. Yeah! I may have him swimming by end of summer.
Yesterday, I took off work to take my Mom to a doctor's appointment. While she ran some tests, I took Fox to Chuckie Cheese, which is his version of heaven. He spent most of the two hours playing on its playground with older boys and used most of his quarters on the game that lets you make phone calls to Chuckie. He was however, not thrilled with the robotic mouse. Too scary ;)
Later we took a walk, and I was treated to the full force of his imagination. Our walk involved him reading an imaginary map to led to a "fire stone, moon stone and sun stone". In the process he made up songs, talked to birds and bumblebees and demonstrated he knows right and left well. I wish I could have video taped our expedition. I miss these things when I'm working...
Off to work for now. Fox will stay with Mom for a few hours while I do. Next week will be better.
