My friend Heather, who I love like a sister, had a little boy today. She was induced and still managed natural childbirth. She is completely wonderful and stubborn and amazing.

I hope her son takes after her, except for his father's sense of humor. His name is Xander, in honor of her sister Zandra who passed away last year.

Go to DG's journal for a blow by blow of the event - she was the coach. I don't think I could have managed it without crying the whole time, so I am impressed by her as well. http://godess-jessie.livejournal.com/

I am going to see them this weekend, come storm or not!

Congratulations to Heather! Having essentially had a "natural" induction (my water broke early and started the contractions for me) I can tell you it's not much fun, but it is doable! But then, labour never really is fun... at least you get an amazing gift at the end of it, not to mention the hormone rush that makes the pain a distant memory. Gotta love the hormones.

Hehe... he looks cute and alert. This bodes well for him. :-)

Thank you ^_^ yeah blow by blow (need to un-friend those post) I was crying some of it. The only one that really got ot me for some reason was when I told her to breath and i got the

"Shut-up Danielle, I AM BREATHING" In the means tone I have never hear from her. For some reason I was in Tears. Could be because I only got 3 hours of sleep that night.
