Justin is getting tutored at home and has begun playing drums again. I am trying to convince my sister to call a MADD advocate to help her deal with the courts. We're managing...

Can I make a quick statement? Just because I would like to see a woman be president (or vice president) doesn't mean I want ANY woman to hold those positions. FIL was PO'ed at me when he brought up politics, assuming I would support Palin and he was less than thrilled when I said I would vote for Obama first (and I have some issues with him as well,but none that would keep me from voting for him...)

It's number 1 that most concerns me. I don't care how anti-abortion you are - most of us make an exception for rape and incest if nothing else. The fact that Palin does not, and that she also supports the right of a doctor or pharmacist to refuse to give birth control, scares me silly.

She may be a woman but that doesn't mean she supports other women.

This is a free country, as I recall, and we do have a congress that makes laws, not the president, and certainly not the vice president. It doesn't matter what they believe. They can believe in forcing everyone to wear tin foil hats and still not get a law through making everyone wear them. So, having said that, make sure you vote for your senator, mayor,governor, etc, because they do make the laws. Too many people skip those elections, mot realizing how very important they are.

Palin is going for what is rudely called The Vagina Vote. I just hope most women are too smart to fall for her *stuf*
