Dr. appointment tomorrow, and I'm waiting to hear whether I'm going to need an induction. (Pleeeze let me finally be dialated a little!)

Technically, the baby is due December 3rd, so I know the doctor won't let me go much longer...I'm almost dreading an induction enough to want a c-section instead. Is it scary that my insurance company claims to latter is cheaper?

I'm starting to get very, very nervous and scared. I've become so emotional lately and I just can't seem to sleep at all. It doesn't help that Tom is working nights so I have to try to sleep alone.

I've been reading Sunhawk's fanfiction most of yesterday and today, crying during lots of it. Bad Kracken, getting me addicted to it in the state I'm in ;)

I'm just not ready for this yet...

Sorry. *hugs you*
I had an induction and a c-section both times and the insurance didn't like that one bit. With my first, the induction worked right away and dilated me, but Sean wouldn't drop. He was stuck. The second, it started to work and then it just stopped working. I spent twenty four hours in a mild labor for nothing. It never did dilate me. A tip; question every damn thing they do and try to have someone with the baby at all times, especially, if you have a c-section, because you'll be drugged up to the gills. My mother in law and Jon never left the baby's side for three days no matter where they took her. They stopped the staff from doing a couple of things that didn't make any sense.

D - I'm trying to force this kid out! YOu'll be welcome to visit once he is! Sorry I was so mopey yesterday, but I'm feeling much better tonight, contractions and all.

Kracken - The last two friends I know who had their labor induced ended up having c-sections after their labor stalled, and I want to avoid that.

Our hospital takes the baby for a mandatory 3 hour observation period after birth (I'm really NOT thrilled with that) so I won't have much control over anything they do. I'm a bit paranoid about him leaving my sight due to the whole not-circumcising issue and the fact we live in a small town where that isn't common, but I'm hoping there will be enough family around to watch the nursery for me. I would feel better if they would just let him room with me right from the start.

Just curious -What sort of things did the hospital do?
