hospital stay...

mockingbirdqMonday night Todd started breathing funny. Ends up, he has pneumonia so we've spent the last few days in the hospital. We only got home late today.
He had all sorts of tests and painful things (the catheder was the WORST to watch, although it was the IV Todd seemed to hate most!)
We made the unfortunate discovery that Todd can now cry real tears. Everytime he looked at me like he was begging for help I wanted to grab him and leave the hospital, but I knew I couldn't.
It has NOT been a fun week...
Tomu couldn't take any time off work to stay with us and my mom had to take care of my dad. Dani visited which kept me from being too lonely (thanx sweetie!)
And I'm nervous now because my angel is still raspy when he breathes and will be for a few weeks. I feel like Tomu and I both aged about 10 years in the space of a few days.
On the positive side, we weren't in the hospital as long as the doctor originally thought we would be, and Todd kept gaining weight even while sick. He now weighs 12 lbs 5 oz. Some of the nurses who helped deliver also stopped by because they remembered him (he's the only baby they've had there in years who had to wear double diapers!)
